Why should you remove the plugs? It is the only proper way to insure removal of dirt and debris from the oil galleys. Parts washers and "hot" tanks can't insure the galleys will be clean. Some processes will actually loosen these plugs. The plugs are easy to remove, allowing full access to scrub the oil galley clean. To remove, just drill and tap a hole in the center of the plug. Slide hammer out the plug. De-burr the plug end of the galley. Once you have finished cleaning, just drive in the replacement plug. For added security, we recommend peening the end of the galley.
